On tonight's episode of Wheel of
Fortune, three new contestants try out their lucky hands at winning
some great cash and prizes. As is usual, the first Toss Up puzzle, in
which random letters are tossed out until a contestant is able to
solve the puzzle, was worth $1000. Kurt Davies, is an exercise
equipment salesman from Fort Collins, Colorado-who also coaches high
school track and is a professional pole valter, was the first to grab
this puzzle with Amusement Park Rides. Kiesha Daniel, from
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was able to score the second Toss Up, a
Title puzzle, for $2000, with Sports Illustrated, and B.J. Is from
Nashville Tennessee and he is both an insurance salesman and a solo
Southern gospel artist. He was also very eager to let the eligible
ladies in the audience know that he is single.
Jim, the announcer, added a Jackpot
space to the wheel, which was a very nice addition, and also added a
wonderful trip to San Francisco, worth $5200 dollars, to sweeten the
wheel even more. Kiesha then got started off nicely, winning the ½
Car piece, putting some nice letters on the board and buying up some
vowels before the dreaded Lose A Turn space took her turn. Kurt was
up next, but barely got started before the letter R took his turn by
not showing up on the board. B.J., was eager to take his turn and for
good reason. His second spin into the puzzle he landed on the Jackpot
space. Guessing the letter C, he was able to solve the puzzle and
take the $9000 that sat under that jackpot space. The puzzle read: A
Wolf In Sheep's Clothing.
The next spin puzzle was a Before &
After puzzle which Kurt was able to get started. He was doing just
fine, until the letter L came up to end his turn. B.J., also got a
good start, adding more letters to the board before the letter U
snagged him. However, he was on the Free Play space which allowed him
to spin again and guess another letter. Unfortunately the letter W
also wasn't on the board so the game passed to Kiesha. Kiesha guessed
the letter C, bought the last vowel, O and solved the puzzle with,
Skating On Thin Ice Cream Cake.
On the next Song Lyrics puzzle, B.J.,
got things started nicely; buying up vowels and guessing letters.
Then the dreaded abyss of the Bankrupt symbol took him out and passed
the game on to Kiesha. She was able to solve the puzzle with, I
Believe It's Time For Me To Fly. For her efforts and prowess, she won
herself a trip to Puerto Rico, worth $5700 dollars.
Going into the last Toss Up puzzle for
$3,000 B.J. Trailed Keisha by less than $1400. He was able to grab
the Thing puzzle with Desk Calendar, which boosted him into the lead.
He started the last and final What Are
You Doing? puzzle nicely, buying vowels and guessing letters, until
Pat had to give the wheel it's final spin. Consonants became instant
cash bombs worth $1500 a piece and the puzzle was up for anyone to
solve. Kiesha was finally able to nail this last puzzle with Fanning
The Flames to add another $1500 to her total. However, B.J., beat her
to the Final Round by $150 dollars!
Along with the usual characters: R, S,
T, L, N, and E; B.J., added C, D, M and A. His letters didn't give
any help and the normal letters barely showed up. Unfortunately, with
not much to work with B.J., wasn't able to solve the Thing puzzle.
The Violin Bow puzzle stayed out of reach and cost B.J., the $40,000
dollar prize he'd pulled from the bonus wheel.
